Scotch Egg

10 ingredients

1 lb. lean sausage
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 egg, raw
1 tbsp. barbecue sauce
1 tbsp. flour
Salt & pepper to taste
6 hard-boiled eggs
1 egg, beaten (for coating)
Dry bread crumbs
Vegetable oil for frying

Mix sausage with the 1/2 cup bread crumbs, raw egg BBQ sauce and salt and pepper. Divide into 6 equal portions. Coat each of the hard boiled eggs with a little milk and form the sausage mixture around each egg. Brush a little bit of egg yolk on the sausage ball and roll in bread crumbs.

Deep fry the eggs for 6 to 7 minutes in hot oil until they are brown. Make sure that the meat is cooked through.
