Rock Candy

6 ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp.
flavored oil
Food coloring

Cook the first three ingredients to 300 degrees fereinheit. A cnady thermomiter is required for this. Stir frequesntly to prevent burning. Remove from stovetop as soon as it reaces 300 degrees and add flavored oil and food coloring. Pour quickly onto greased cookie sheet. Cool cool all the way and tap on the bottom of the cookie sheet. This will crack all of the candy into small bite sized pieces. Flavored oil can be purchased in the baking section of most grocery stores or can be purchased online at Lorann Oils. Oil can be any desired flavor.
