5 c. water
1 c. regular grits
1 tsp. salt
1/3 stick butter
2 eggs
1 c. Cheddar cheese cubes
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
2/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Bring water to boil. Stir in salt and grits. Lower heat to simmer; cook, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat; stir in butter, slightly beaten eggs, milk, diced cheese, garlic, pepper, and hot sauce. Place in greased casserole and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
