1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. pumpkin pie filling
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
2 c. Semi sweet chocolate chips
Cream shortening adding sugar gradually until light and fluffy. Add pumpkin and mix well.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices together.
Stir in dry ingredients and mix until blended. Add chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheets. Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 15 minutes.

excellent recipe but it was missing the part about adding in the eggs. I assumed it to be mixed in with the pumpkin. but wanted to note that
